We are organizing a workshop on 26–27 November 2026 in Lyon, bringing together leading international researchers in economics using satellite data alongside colleagues from ESA.

As part of the workshop, we are also launching a Call for Ideas for early-career researchers:

🎓 Who? Late-stage PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.

💡 What? Present a promising research idea (not necessarily a finished paper) and receive feedback from leading researchers and ESA experts.

🤝 Why? Connect with the SHIELD community, explore new collaborations, and potentially join the chair through research visits or fully funded postdoctoral positions.
